4 Ways to Build a New Routine
By Casey – 24 August 2024
Establishing a daily routine can significantly boost work productivity and prevent burnout. While creating healthy habits may seem difficult, organizing your schedule to ensure long-term success is essential. Keep reading for 4 ways to help you build a new routine that will soon become a habit.
Don’t forget to check the schedule in the link below. We’ve just added more Power workouts to help you find a time that works best for your daily routine.
1. WAKE UP AT THE SAME TIME EVERYDAY
Whether you’re a morning person or like to sleep in a little later, it’s important to wake up at the same time every day to stay structured. This doesn’t mean you have to wake up at the crack of dawn, but it does mean you need to prioritize getting enough sleep to ensure you feel rested. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep every night, and try to make sure you’re going to bed and waking up at the same time consistently.
2. SET PRIORITIES
As you start to build a new routine, it’s important to pick a top priority and align your daily tasks to help you accomplish this. For example, if you want to set up a new fitness routine, make sure you prioritize your workouts. Booking a Velobeat, Veloburn, or Power workout at the start of the week can help you prioritize fitness and allow you to build other activities around your workout schedule.
3. DECIDE HOW MUCH TIME YOU NEED TO COMPLETE ALL OF THE TASKS IN YOUR ROUTINE
Once you’ve determined which tasks are prioritized, you’ll need to calculate the average time each task will take to plan your day properly. Once you have the average amount of time you think your new routine will take, pad that estimate with extra time so you can complete it without feeling rushed or stressed.
4. STAY CONSISTENT
Building a new routine takes time. If you stay consistent, before you know it your routine will become a habit. Try setting alarms and reminders to help you stick to the tasks and the timeline you’ve set up for your daily routine. If you make a mistake, don’t beat yourself up. Just make sure to get back on track the next day.
Get ready to build that routine and don’t forget to book your workouts. We’ll see you in the studio soon!
