ANINA
Tell us about yourself
I grew up in Zug and moved to Zurich with friends about two years ago. I started with rowing, and ever since, I’ve been drawn to new challenges and workouts, always pushing myself out of my comfort zone. After starting as a Front Desk Manager at Velocity and trying the different workouts, I immediately fell in love with the concept of Power and the challenge it presented.
How did you discover Velocity?
I discovered Velocity while applying for the front desk position as a part-time job to complement my studies. Once I got the position, I quickly became immersed in the workouts, the community, and the team, and I immediately fell in love with it.
Why Velocity?
Velocity is an incredibly special place for me, where an amazing team, dedicated coaches, and a supportive community come together to create a powerful environment. It’s a space where we can all challenge ourselves and find a place that welcomes everyone.
What was the most challenging part of the Power Academy?
The most surprising aspect was transitioning from being a client to a coach when I initially thought coaching might not be as challenging as it is. I soon realized the immense amount of time and effort required to reach a level of confidence in creating a class.
What’s going to make your Power workouts unique?
I will create a space where everyone feels welcome and truly motivate and challenge each person who shows up for the workout.
What music will you play in your workouts?
House, Pop, Electronic
Fun fact about you?
I broke my nose on a Rodeo 🙂
Catch Anina in Zug every Saturday at 11:45 and 12:45 from 19.10.
ANA
Tell us about yourself
Originally from Spain, I’ve been living in Switzerland for the past 11 years, and what can I say? I love it here! I enjoy the many opportunities to engage in various indoor and outdoor activities, from skiing and hiking to hitting the gym for a good HIIT or weightlifting session. I love motivating people to improve a little every day and showing them how capable they are of doing things they thought they couldn’t or didn’t feel motivated to try. When someone enters my class, I want them to feel like they’re becoming a different person, leaving behind all their problems, stress, and lack of motivation. None of that will be with them for the next 45 minutes. I want you to allow yourself, first mentally and then physically, to transform into your upgraded version—the one that is stronger, healthier, and capable of anything you set your mind to.
How did you discover Velocity?
I discovered Velocity a few years ago after my first pregnancy. I felt that cardio, HIIT, and weightlifting weren’t enough to fully help my body recover, so I became interested in Pilates. However, it felt a bit “boring” to me, so I needed to find something similar but more fun. Then I came across Power, and I fell in love right away!
Why Velocity?
Well, what can I say about Velocity? I love the atmosphere in that neon-dark room, the energy you feel after every workout, and how friendly and motivated everyone in the Velocity community is!
What was the most challenging part of the Power Academy?
Mastering all the techniques to ensure I give my clients a high-standard workout.
What’s going to make your Power workouts unique?
Good music paired with a workout that will push your limits, helping you become more flexible and strong week after week.
What music will you play in your workouts?
From Latin to tech house, with some days leaning more toward pop. I’m always in love with classics like Queen.
Fun fact about you?
Catch Ana in Zug every Sunday at 16:00 and 17:00 from 20.10.
CHIARA
Tell us about yourself
I’m half British, half Swiss, and dancing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve traveled to many places and lived abroad, including a few years in Dubai, where I discovered my passion for Reformer Pilates and Spinning.
How did you discover Velocity?
I discovered Velocity when I moved back to Zurich three years ago. The energy and community vibe immediately drew me in, and after just one workout, I knew it was the right fit for me.
Why Velocity?
Velocity is more than just a fitness studio—it’s a true community. The way everyone supports and pushes each other to grow, both physically and mentally, is what makes it so special. Every coach and class brings something unique, so you’ll never get bored, and there’s always something new to challenge you.
What was the most challenging part of the Power Academy?
The biggest challenge was pushing myself past my own limits and stepping out of my comfort zone. It was a humbling yet empowering experience.
What’s going to make your Power workouts unique?
My workouts are intense but fun, combining tough physical challenges with motivating music. I focus on pushing people out of their comfort zones while maintaining a positive and uplifting atmosphere where they can vibe along to the music.
What music will you play in your workouts?
Expect to hear a mix of remixes, Afro beats, hip hop, and UK rap to keep the energy high and everyone fully engaged.
Fun fact about you?
LOLA
Tell us about yourself
I’m Swiss-British, a documentary filmmaker, sports addict, lover of dogs, biscuits, and Latin America, and now a Power coach. I’m very sociable, love to have a good laugh, and enjoy making bad jokes.
How did you discover Velocity?
I was originally looking for a good spinning class and stumbled upon Velocity while walking around after first moving to Zürich. Although I still love spinning, Power caught my attention, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Why Velocity?
I love a sweaty workout that also feels like a dance party. Give me a dark room, loud music, and a pulsing beat! Velocity offers exactly that, along with great coaches, a strong sense of community, and lovely smelling shower gel.
What was the most challenging part of the Power Academy?
Other than my very sore obliques, the multi-tasking between time management, memorization, and verbalization took a lot of practice.
What’s going to make your Power workouts unique?
I want to offer what I value most during a workout: a dance party vibe, a vibrant sense of community, and challenging exercises that make brushing your teeth or climbing stairs difficult the next day.
What music will you play in your workouts?
House, Afrobeat, reggaeton, techno… anything you can dance to!
Fun fact about you?
I was the biggest fan of 101 Dalmatians when I was little and went through 5 consecutive years of Dalmatien-themed birthday parties (at least I made it easy for my parents!).
Catch Lola in Enge every Tuesday at 15:00 and 16:00 from 29.10 and every second Sunday from 20.10.
VALERIA
Tell us about yourself
I’m Valeria, and I’m super happy to be part of the Velocity Power team. I fell in love with the workouts, and I’m excited to turn my hobby into a job and share my passion with everyone who comes along.
How did you discover Velocity?
I discovered Power through a good friend of mine. After trying out a lot of different studios, we got hooked here.
Why Velocity?
I love the vibe and the positive energy. Whenever I’m feeling down and come here, I crush a workout, and my mood shoots up to the ceiling.
What was the most challenging part of the Power Academy?
The most challenging part was balancing everything. It’s a lot to manage, but it’s so much fun getting to know the concept and my body even better.
What’s going to make your Power workouts unique?
I make sure that every inch of your body is pushed to its limits. In my workouts, your mind and body fuse, and we fuel both with energy and awareness.
What music will you play in your workouts?
Anything that makes my soul smile. From melodic house to Afro, RnB, and some oldies but goldies.
Fun fact about you?
Catch Valeria in Enge every Tuesday at 6:30, 7:30 and 9:15 from 15.10.
