Tell us about yourself
I’m originally from Australia and at the start of 2022 I embarked on my first European adventure with plans to live and work in the UK but accidentally found myself a Swiss husband along the way – which is how I ended up here in Zurich. I have worked as a Speech Pathologist in busy hospitals for the last 6 years and working out for me has been a way to take myself away from taking care of others. I fell in love with Pilates and reformer style training almost 3 years ago and have been taking classes religiously ever since with a dream to eventually become a coach. I have always been so inspired by my coaches and I am so excited to give the same back in my workouts!
How did you discover Velocity?
I saw a job posting when I was still living in London and read up on Mallory’s story and journey starting Velocity and was so inspired!
Why Velocity?
As mentioned before I was so inspired by Mallory’s journey and the community she created at Velocity so I knew from then I wanted to be a part of it. When I made it to Zurich I started to take the workouts and my love for Power grew from there!
What was the most challenging part of the Power Academy?
Looking at the workouts from a coach’s lens was a big shift. You’re watching, counting and thinking about the next move all while everyone’s looking out for your smiling face to get them through the burn.
What’s going to make your workouts unique?
Good music, good vibes and an Australian accent 😉
What music will you play in your workouts?
Get ready for a mix of electropop, EDM, house and club bangers! If you’re lucky, I’ll throw in a couple of punk rock or techno songs into the mix just to change things up a bit. My playlists will be a mix of my favorite songs, so I hope to have you dancing and singing on the bike and forgetting about the burn in your legs and arms!
Fun fact about you?
My sisters are twins and my mum is also a twin.

MAXINE
Tell us about yourself
Half Aussie & half Swiss: I was born in Sydney but moved to Switzerland when I was 10. I loved being active from a young age, especially dancing which I’ve done until I was 17. At that point my work schedule had become too intense to continue, so I began searching for a new challenge and commenced working out at the gym and increasing the depth of my knowledge regarding nutrition. I’d like to study Fitness and Health in the future!
How did you discover Velocity?
I was looking for a part-time job and a friend recommended Velocity. When I started working as a front desk manager, I went to my first Power and I was immediately hooked!
Why Velocity?
Since I was working at the front desk, I know a lot of the clients and I just love the community we have!
What was the most challenging part of the Power Academy?
Not taking the feedback too personally.
What’s going to make your workouts unique?
Because of my personality, it will be a calm and relaxing environment. But don’t be fooled, I will still push you to your limits!
What music will you play in your workouts?
Hip hop, pop, and of course throwback songs.
Fun fact about you?
I love fashion and travelling which makes it hard for me to pack lightly because I need the perfect outfit for every occasion.
Don’t forget to book Maxine’s Free Community Power and check her out.
