ANNA

Tell us about yourself

I’m Anna, a Spanish girl from Barcelona and I’m passionate about running (especially half marathons!) and indoor cycling. This is my 3rd year in Zurich, and I work in finance. In my free time, I love skiing and hiking, and my favorite food is chocolate & cheese, that’s why I came to Switzerland!

How did you discover Velocity?

I used to come with my friends after work and I was enjoying it so much that I wanted to become a coach.

Why Velocity?

Velocity is different because of its people. When you join a workout, everyone is excited and motivated to become a better version of themselves and you already know you’ll leave the studio with a smile on your face. That feeling is what was making me come back every time.

What was the most challenging part of the Veloburn Academy?

Being able to implement feedback from the coaches in a short period of time.

What’s going to make your Veloburn workouts unique?

I’ll give my personal touch, being able to bring endurance, consistency, and commitment to the people joining my rides and have fun while improving their performance, together with a motivating playlist that will leave you with a smile on your face.

What music will you play in your workouts?

Dance Pop/House

Fun fact about you?

I started indoor cycling in Spain when I was 16 y.o. because my best friend wanted to meet a handsome guy from that workout.

IVAN

Tell us about yourself

I’m Ivan, originally from Serbia. Sport is not just a hobby for me; it’s a way of life. I have an undying love for challenges, and sports provide the perfect arena to test my limits.

When I step onto the basketball court, I’m not just playing a game; I’m in my element. The sound of the ball bouncing, the cheers from the crowd – it’s all music to my ears.

Weightlifting is another passion of mine. There’s something incredibly satisfying about pushing yourself to lift heavier weights, breaking through your own barriers, and constantly striving for progress. It’s a testament to my dedication and discipline.

Boxing, the sweet science, has taught me invaluable lessons. It’s not just about throwing punches; it’s about strategy, agility, and staying composed under pressure. It’s a metaphor for life, teaching me to face challenges head-on and never back down.

Beyond these sports, I find fulfillment in taking on challenges that extend beyond the playing field. The challenges I encounter in everyday life are just as invigorating as any sport. They fuel my desire to excel and never settle for mediocrity. In my journey, I’ve learned that success is not just about winning; it’s about growth, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. I’m not just a sports enthusiast; I’m a believer in the power of a strong mind and a determined heart. Challenges are not obstacles but opportunities for me to shine.

Life is an exhilarating game, and I’m here to play it to the fullest.

How did you discover Velocity?

I passed the studio in Zug and when I saw how it looked I had to find out what it was. I looked online to check out the workouts and I saw a job ad for a fitness coach. The decision was made right there and then, so I immediately applied, and the rest is history!

Why Velocity?

I’ve been a member of many fitness studios and worked in a few but what makes Velocity unique apart from the concept is the great energy, the smile you get at the entrance, and the amazing experience from the coaches regardless of what you choose to train.

What was the most challenging part of the Velobeat Academy?

Veloburn Academy was amazing and the most challenging thing was that I had to perform by myself in a very short period of time. But the speed at which you progress when paired with the right teachers and good guidance is remarkable.

What’s going to make your Veloburn workouts unique?

With a background like mine, I bring a unique blend of competitiveness, discipline, and a never-give-up attitude to everything I do. My Veloburn workouts will be no different, so expect to have your limits tested!

What music will you play in your workouts?

Electronic, house & pop

Fun fact about you?

My shoe size is nearly 50, so it’s not easy to get spinning shoes. Velocity carries shoes until 48, so as you can imagine, the Academy was extra tough 😉

CRISTINA

Tell us about yourself

I am originally from Andalusia, Spain, and in early 2018 I embarked on my first international adventure in Switzerland. I consider myself an extroverted and powerful human. I love flamenco dance, gravel bike, running and swimming. Since I am very active and I have many different inputs during the day, sometimes I love to rest my mind, turn off my phone, and stay home just reading a love story book.

How did you discover Velocity?

Velocity arrived in my life very naturally, after looking for recommendations from friends and through some research on the best spinning studios.

Why Velocity?

Velocity has a place for any type of profile, whether you are a beginner or an expert. They will always push you towards the extra mile while still having fun.

What was the most challenging part of the Veloburn Academy?

You have to do many things at the same time as a coach. It requires absolute concentration and a completely optimal physical condition. There are many factors that can influence a job poorly done.

What’s going to make your Veloburn workouts unique?

I always dreamed of inspiring other people like Velocity has inspired me. Now, my dream has come true and my goal is to make you feel absolutely unstoppable.

What music will you play in your workouts?

I am Andalusian so I love reggaeton! I also like African music because I lived in Tanzania with a Masai tribe. But since I’m known to be a bit of a party animal, you can expect some techno, too.

Fun fact about you?

I still haven’t met anyone in Switzerland with hair longer than mine 😉
