Jasmin
Tell us a bit about you, where do you come from, what are your hobbies etc..?
I grew up in the canton of Zürich and still live here, together with my husband. Besides working at Velocity I am leading the back-office of a physiotherapy and teach dance classes for kids. My hobbies are doing sports, such as dancing, cycling and power, but I also enjoy cosy evenings on the couch, deep conversations and a good meal 🙂
How did you discover Velocity?
I discovered Velocity thanks to my friend Selin as she started teaching here.
Why Velocity? What do you think you’ll find here that’s unlike anywhere else?
At Velocity the combination between endurance and strength workouts is unique and exactly what I was looking for. What I also like is the friendly atmosphere and the holistic fitness concept, e.g. special challenges where you can set your goals, take measurements, get a nutrition plan in addition and so on.
What was the most challenging part of the Velobeat auditions?
I am a very structured and well-organized person, so my challenge was not to overthink things and try to stay spontaneous and open-minded in case something doesn’t work as planned.
Every coach has something unique about their workouts. What’s going to make your Velobeat rides unique?
Since I have a background in dancing, my focus will be on musicality, choreo and technique.
What music will you play in your workouts?
Expect a lot of dance/electronic music, mixed with different styles such as pop, hip hop or even a rock song now and then.
Catch Jasmin on the schedule every Monday at 18:10 & Wednesday at 12:10 in Zug and Saturday at 11:10 in West.
Silvia
Tell us a bit about you, where do you come from, what are your hobbies etc..?
I come from Sardinia, where I lived for 25 years. After my university studies in Environmental Engineering I left home to move to Milan and later on to Switzerland. I work in the oil and gas sector and have 2 children. I always loved playing sports (basketball, football and volleyball) and mainly outdoors activities. I do love killer hikes on the Swiss mountains, and I am a big fan of kayaking and cycling.
How did you discover Velocity?
Before lockdown, in 2019, a colleague of mine -a professional cyclist- introduced me to the Velocity world. I always thought spinning and cycling were not a good fit for me, and believed that indoor cycling would not be fun (why should people cycle indoor when they can do it outdoors?). With little hope I gave it a try, and 1 month later I had already bought an indoor and a road bike. During lockdown indoor cycling helped me to deal with the stress, the loneliness and the craziness. And after lockdown, I totally became a Velocity addict and decided to try and become a coach.
Why Velocity? What do you think you’ll find here that’s unlike anywhere else?
It’s all about the good vibes and the energy Velocity gives you. Velocity workouts are tough, fun, and they have the power to recharge me fully. What I’ve always loved about Velocity is the personal touch, you enter the studio and the staff knows your name and they’re always ready to smile and chat with you. This makes you feel a little special 🙂
What was the most challenging part of the Velobeat auditions?
I have always worked in a corporate environment where sometimes feelings and personal opinions need to be hidden behind a professional and “cold” attitude. In the Velobeat auditions I really had to dig deep down and take out the other part of me (the crazy one!) to “unleash the beast”, as my Master Coach would say.
Every coach has something unique about their workouts. What’s going to make your Velobeat rides unique?
My positive energy, and my amazing playlists 🙂 I want to inspire and motivate all those people who have families and work hard, and let them know that everything is possible, if they really want to achieve it.
What music will you play in your workouts?
Each moment has its music. Deep house to get lost in the beat, heavy rock to unleash all your power, pop songs to party throughout the workout.
