LEA
Tell us about yourself
I grew up in Zug and moved to Zurich for my studies. I fell in love with fitness and movement during my time at university, where I had the chance to explore many different fitness classes. When I started working in audit, my schedule no longer matched the group fitness classes, so I had to find new training habits. This led me more and more toward endurance sports. I started running and cycling a lot. In 2022, I joined my first triathlon just for fun, and I absolutely fell in love with it. Only one year later, I finished my first full Ironman. I love challenges, and I think it’s amazing what our bodies are capable of if we just keep going and put in the work.
How did you discover Velocity?
A friend of mine introduced me to Velocity. I had done indoor cycling and spinning workouts before, but after my first class at Velocity, I thought, “Wow, I’m never going to do a normal indoor cycling workout again—this is so much more fun!”
Why Velocity?
First of all, definitely the warm and welcoming atmosphere. But also the workout itself. In the past few years, I’ve participated in some road cycling races, and I think my progress is thanks to the training at Velocity. Especially on hilly courses, I noticed that I pass many other athletes when the slope of the road changes. I think Velocity keeps you very flexible, and you can quickly adjust from a hill to a heavy climb to a sprint, and so on.
What was the most challenging part of the Veloburn Academy?
When I joined Veloburn workouts as a client, I was always pretty competitive and wanted to see my name at the top of the leaderboard. When I started preparing my own classes, I was often completely exhausted and had to catch my breath before speaking into the microphone. I had to learn how much I could push without being totally out of breath all the time.
What’s going to make your Veloburn workouts unique?
My workouts will be challenging—you might suffer a little, but you’ll be happy about it afterward. I plan to incorporate my experience as a triathlete. Pushing limits is more of a mental game than a physical one. I’ll motivate you with the thoughts that got me through my toughest races. The mindset that helped me cross the finish line, even when I wished to quit a hundred times.
What music will you play in your workouts?
In my workouts, I’ll play a mix of pop, disco, and house. You might already know the original songs, but I’m sure you’ll love the sick beats in the remixes.
Fun fact about you?
I’m 100% Swiss, I do a lot of sports, but I can’t ski. It’s not that I never learned—it’s just that I’ve tried several times and must be super untalented. And to make it worse, I don’t like fondue or raclette either.

MCKENNA
Tell us about yourself
Hi, I’m McKenna! I’m originally from South Florida, but I grew up moving all around the United States. I’m new to Zurich and am in awe of Swiss culture, food, and nature—it has been a challenging and fun adventure so far. As a registered nurse, I’m passionate about helping others feel their best—not just in healthcare, but also by inspiring an active, healthy lifestyle. As a former competitive swimmer and college athlete in the U.S., I’ve always been drawn to endurance sports. I truly believe that a great workout doesn’t just make you stronger physically, but also mentally. Outside of Velocity, you can find me hiking, learning German, or trying all the chocolate and cheese Switzerland has to offer. 😊
How did you discover Velocity?
I recently moved to Zurich and searched for fitness studios to join. I tried a few classes and absolutely loved the environment, instructors, and workouts and knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. I auditioned for the Veloburn academy and the rest is history!
Why Velocity?
Velocity is such a fun community of like-minded individuals from so many different backgrounds. I love the different workout concepts and how there’s something for everyone.
What was the most challenging part of the Veloburn Academy?
The academy was definitely tough all around—late nights, long hours practicing, playlist building, and so much to learn. I never realized how much an instructor has to juggle on the bike, from managing the lights, leaderboard, volume, and mic, to keeping up with the music. The coaches make it look so easy! I’m really grateful for all the time the master coaches invested in us, and I’m proud of our group for the progress we made.
What’s going to make your Veloburn workouts unique?
My goal for each class is for my riders to leave feeling stronger, both mentally and physically, than when they walked in. If my class can turn someone’s bad day around, that’s a mission accomplished. As a cancer survivor, I treasure the ability to move my body and be healthy. I will always remind my riders what a gift it is to hop on the bike and crush a tough workout.
What music will you play in your workouts?
I love mixing it up—pop, rap, rock, EDM, and the occasional throwback.

Tell us about yourself
I have been passionate about movement and fitness for as long as I can remember, starting with dancing, including ballet and cheerdancing. By the age of 16, I had my first group fitness instructor license and was already leading group fitness classes. Over the years, I have dived into everything from Zumba and Piloxing to Body Workouts and HIIT. Four years ago, I discovered cycling, which instantly became a new love. I am all about powerful beats, pushing limits, and having a blast while doing it!
For me, fitness is about so much more than just exercise—it’s a way to clear my mind, reconnect with myself, and find balance in the chaos of life. I love creating workouts that are fun, challenging, and leave you feeling recharged and ready to tackle whatever’s next.
How did you discover Velocity?
I’m always on the hunt for exciting new group fitness classes and workouts. When I found out Velocity was close to my office, it immediately caught my attention. It looked super cool, and I just had to give it a try. From the first class, I was hooked!
Why Velocity?
For me, Velocity feels like a world of its own—a place where you can leave everything at the door and just be present. The atmosphere is so welcoming, and the workouts are challenging but incredibly rewarding. It’s the perfect balance of tough training and a supportive environment, making it easy to stay motivated. What truly makes it special are the amazing trainers and fellow Velocity riders.
