When you work out with a friend, you also have the chance to catch-up, listen to music together and celebrate your small victories. You’ll look forward to the time you have together and it will make your workouts something you enjoy for more than just the health benefits.

2. YOU’LL WORK HARDER WHEN YOU’RE WITH SOMEONE ELSE

When friends work out together, they push each other. Having someone with you will help you to push yourself further than if you were to work out on your own. Sometimes, working out with friends can bring out a competitive side and give you the push you need to keep going.

Joining a group fitness class can be a great way to meet people with common interests and make new friends.

Exercising with someone you don’t know well also gives you a chance to get to know them better and form a closer relationship.

When you make plans to work out with a friend, you’re more likely to stick to that commitment and won’t back out of your plans to workout.
